The object’s story

Object Description

Blank on rear.

Donated by Gwen Whyte, who inherited them from her late aunt, who had been a neighbour of Lackie’s in Balmore Street, Dundee.

Transcription

At Gaiety Theatre, Methil; where
The wail of bag-pipes rends the air
Give this to Geordie Lackie there;
That STAR Comedian;
His slogans all your nerves will jag
And when he plays the tunes called “RAG”
Just take a knife & slit his bag
My word! you’ll need yin.
