The object’s story

Object Description

Blank on reverse.

Donated by Gwen Whyte, who inherited them from her late aunt, who had been a neighbour of Lackie’s in Balmore Street, Dundee.

Transcription

In BO’NESS toon there is a loon
At some picture palace there,
He plays rag-time upon the pipes
And drives fouk to despair
His name is GEORDIE LACKIE, and
This letter is for he.
That Grammar’s bad, but not so bad
As rag-time melody.

(On the Bag-pipes)
