Object Description

This vibrant music hall poster advertises Le Petit Cabaret, a Parisienne-American song revue starring American comedienne Hilda Glyder. The bill also featured cycling comedian Will Lacey, Dundee entertainer Geordie Lackie, vocalist Irene May, Indian musician Doraswami, and comedienne Jennie Hartley. Printed in bold red and blue type, the poster reflects the variety and spectacle of Dundee’s entertainment scene at the beginning of the First World War.
