Object Description
Advertising the week beginning 24 August 1914, this vibrant red-and-blue letterpress poster celebrates the theatre’s Grand Anniversary Company. Headlined by comedy star May Henderson and comedienne Molly Wells, the programme also featured Belle Mora, Jaffa, Croft and Naughton, Henry D. Adams, Violet Lloyd and Horace Lane, and vocalists Fred Leigh and Fred Fenton. The poster reflects the continued popularity of variety entertainment in Dundee during the first month of the First World War.
