The object’s story

Object Description

Advertising the week beginning 17 August 1914, this bold red-and-blue letterpress poster promotes the controversial drama Should a Woman Tell? by Rev. A. J. Waldron, presented by Craig and Bulmer. The programme also featured comedians, dancers, ventriloquist Thora, and the musical act The Dandy Mascots, demonstrating the mixture of drama and variety entertainment offered in Dundee during the early weeks of the First World War.
