Postcard
This humorous Scottish New Year postcard features a figure half-buried in snow holding a bottle labelled “Scotch Whisky.” Printed with the greeting “A Braw New Year to Ye,” it combines winter imagery, Scots language, and whisky-themed humour, reflecting the popular exchange of festive postcards during the early twentieth century. The card was later used to send a handwritten New Year message to Geordie Lackie of Dundee’s West End Cinema.
